  • Reduced working hours to 7 hours in the last trimester
  • Work from home (optional) in the last month
  • Transport allowance of Rs. 10,000/- per month
  • Reserved car parking space
  • Maternity Leave of 26 weeks (as per Maternity Leave Policy)

To keep the employee just about updated on any critical developments at the workplace we have the following initiatives:

  • My Saheli-A friend from the team will keep the new mother connected to any critical developments. This is simply for their information and not for any action
  • A gift basket for the new mother and baby, wrapped in love – was an instant hit addition to our policy!!
  • Stay Connected – HR stays connected with the new mother, checking on well-being and progress of mother and child

To return to main-stay is particularly tough for new mothers. To help them seamlessly blend back into the environment, we have the following initiatives:

  • Crèche facility for the new mothers to be able to oversee their little ones at interims
  • Reduced working hours to 7 hours for initial one month after resuming work
  • Counseling sessions with Head HR, easing them into the job and re-instating the support of the Company

Our policies have helped reinstate 98% of our women workforce who return to mainstream jobs within the Company post-delivery.

This, against several other companies, where women extend maternity leave and then take a sabbatical or quit the Company.

To help women with a great work experience we ensure the following:

  • Seek feedback during creation of important corporate decisions
  • Inclusion of equal women in EMPULSE, the cultural committee of the company, so that their voices are heard
  • Late night travel arrangements for women employees
  • Policies focusing on maternity eg. Aanchal etc.
  • Ensuring safe and high quality accommodations during out-station duty

Swaabhimaann

Welcoming Differently Abled People

At K Raheja, we welcome individuals from every section of the society to share their expertise. For us, it’s the intellect and character that counts. Hence, under Swaabhimaann, our successful tie-up with Pankh strives to create a platform with equal opportunities for differently-abled people professionals.

A Disability Inclusion @ Workplace | Sensitization Workshop was conducted for all the teams. The Manager and other team members have been oriented and were taught how to communicate with persons with disabilities.

The Persons with Disability went through a series of training which enables them to do their job responsibility.

A welcome email introducing them was sent to the staff and a small get-together was organized to make their feel part of the team.

Impact of the Initiative: Being inclusive has helped us build the best culture across the company. By having employees with disabilities, we inherently ensure a more diverse culture and increased employee morale, work ethic and dedication across the company.

Formal feedback mechanisms

Action and assurance are two of the most crucial elements of management that we take extremely seriously. We ensure complete transparency and confidentiality to promote an apprehension-free fearless work environment.

  • A policy that protects and instills a secure and fearless work environment for all employees. As a conscious and vigilant organization, K Raheja believes in conducting business in a transparent manner by adopting the highest standards of professionalism, honesty and ethical behavior.

HR Initiatives

Initiative: NEEV:

When we start a journey, it bodes well to have a happy beginning.

K Raheja believes in an interactive and immersive fun-filled introduction process, breaking free of the tedious corporate induction process. Induction is the founding stone of the long-standing relationship that will be shared with the employee. Hence, We initiated Swagatam, which is followed by Neev and The Buddy Program, which includes tech-aided animated videos and added activities for ice breaking.

  • Information on the organization | business verticals | key management | HR policies | organizational processes are shared through an animated video.
  • Employees are introduced to the self-service portal christened ‘Iconnect’. This portal features attendance, salary slips, key personal information etc., and becomes the single dashboard for information.
  • Policies of the Company like code of conduct, safety norms, prevention of sexual harassment at workplace, which are key to their well-being are shared.
  • Employees are introduced to the Performance Management Portal – LAKSHYA. This is a user-friendly, clearly tabulated, real time portal, which marks progress, milestones, achievements etc., along with highlighting expectations from the role.

A comprehensive induction plan is created for every new joinee, where they get to meet and spend time with all HODs in K Raheja , schedule mall visits, do mystery shopping in our own malls to gather feedback for internal teams which facilitates a lot of learning in the initial two weeks of joining. This induction calls for a sign off from the employee ensuring all meetings and to-do are done and that employee has all the information and knowledge transfer to perform his/her job well.

The responsibility of running the corporate induction and creating a customized orientation plan is initiated by the HR team, with support from head of departments, respective line managers. The impact of this program goes a long way, a good start leads to a great journey.

To positively impact the communities we operate in, K Raheja conceptualized Teaching Tree – an initiative to do away with education inequality. We have made many strides in this initiative, from funds to training and from employee volunteers to bringing the children into our business parks. We still have a long way to go, but to be lauded for good work is always encouraging.

Community Upkeep. Developing infrastructure

We believe in the acts of giving back. K Raheja has collaborated with Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to transform Hyderabad’s iconic Durgam Cheruvu Lake. We have a phase-wise plan to revamp the lake. With the endeavor to provide the Hi-Tech City with a meaningful waterfront environment, this development is conceived as a value addition to the lake, its surroundings, social uplift, and urban rejuvenation.

To create a working and active waterfront development

To ensure the existing fabric of the area is unaltered

To protect and enhance the bio-diversity of the Lake and its surroundings

To adopt an ecologically sensitive low carbon footprint approach

Capitalizing on the existing green and bluescapes, flora and fauna, and the ancient rock formations; the lake will be transformed into a space that offers facilities for health and fitness, entertainment, adventure activities, and restoration of scenic beauty. Work on ground has begun in May 2017, with a phase-wise plan and deadlines.

The bridge was Inaugurated on 25 Sep, 2020 by K Taraka Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Industries, IT&C. As an honor to our commitment towards giving back to the society we displayed a mock-up of the Durgam Cheruvu bridge in our Hyderabad mall before inauguration and played an AV of the making of the bridge, the new Pride of Hyderabad.
